Egypt and Turkey Forge New Path with Military Cooperation Roadmap

Cairo: Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, held talks with Turkish Chief of the General Staff Sel§uk Bayraktaroglu during the latter's official visit to Egypt, focusing on expanding bilateral military cooperation. The discussions centered around mutual interests and the strengthening of defense ties across several areas, culminating in the co-chairing of the closing session of the fifth Egyptian-Turkish Military Cooperation Committee.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting concluded with the signing of a final protocol, which outlines a series of joint activities aimed at enhancing military cooperation and promoting the exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both countries. Khalifa emphasized the depth of the partnership between the Egyptian and Turkish militaries, highlighting the importance of closer coordination to serve shared interests.

Bayraktaroglu expressed Turkey's commitment to deepening military relations with Egypt in the future. The meeting was attended by senior military officials from both countries, marking a significant step forward in Egyptian-Turkish defense relations.
