Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched the 277th 'Zad Al-Ezza - From Egypt to Gaza' convoy in the early hours of Monday, September 14, 2026, carrying humanitarian aid bound for the Gaza Strip, as part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating and delivering humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the convoy carries more than 4,500 tons of humanitarian aid, including over 1,812 tons of food baskets and flour, more than 922 tons of relief and medical supplies and medicines, and around 1,766 tons of petroleum products needed to operate hospitals and vital facilities in the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a presence at the border since the start of the crisis, while ensuring the readiness of its logistics centers and increasing efforts to prepare and deliver humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip. The total amount of aid delivered has exceeded one million tons, with the participation of more than 75,000 volunteers from the organization.
