Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent on Wednesday, 19, 2025, dispatched its 76th humanitarian convoy, 'Zad Al-Izza. From Egypt to Gaza,' carrying multiple trucks loaded with urgent relief supplies to the Gaza Strip. The convoy is part of the organization's ongoing role as Egypt's national mechanism for coordinating and delivering aid to Gaza.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the latest shipment includes essential winter supplies aimed at easing the suffering of residents amid harsh weather conditions. Among the items are around 74,000 blankets, 35,000 pieces of winter clothing, 560 mattresses, and 7,576 tents to provide shelter for affected families.
The convoy also transported approximately 9,500 tons of humanitarian aid, including 5,600 tons of food baskets and flour, more than 2,750 tons of medical and relief supplies, and over 1,150 tons of petroleum products.
The Egyptian Red Crescent launched the 'Zad Al-Izza. From Egypt to Gaza' initiative on July 27, sending thousands of tons of food supplies, flour, infant formula, medicines, medical equipment, personal care items, and fuel to the Strip.
As the national body responsible for coordinating aid to Gaza, the Egyptian Red Crescent has been stationed at the border since the beginning of the crisis. The Rafah crossing has remained open from Egypt's side, while the organization continues to operate at full capacity across its logistical centers to ensure the entry of aid.
To date, more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief supplies have been delivered to Gaza made possible by the efforts of 35,000 Egyptian Red Crescent volunteers.
