Egypt: Egypt’s national para-cycling team achieved a landmark success at the African Track Cycling and Para-Track Championships held in Nigeria, securing a total of 14 medals and reaffirming its status as one of Africa’s leading teams in the sport.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian team claimed 5 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals, in a strong performance that reflects the significant development of para-cycling in Egypt in recent years. The team outperformed Algeria in the overall medal tally, while competing closely with host nation Nigeria.
The results came after an intensive preparation camp, during which the technical staff implemented a comprehensive training program aimed at ensuring optimal performance ahead of the continental competition. Egyptian Cycling Federation President Ayman Ali Hassan praised the achievement, describing it as the result of structured planning and scientific development efforts within the federation.
