Cairo:The Central Bank of Egypt announced that the banking sector's net foreign assets surged to $31.2 billion in August 2026, marking their highest level since January 2020.According to State Information Service Egypt, the increase in net foreign assets was driven by a rise in the banks' net foreign assets to $12.4 billion, alongside an increase in the Central Bank of Egypt's own net foreign assets to $18.8 billion during the same month.
