Cairo: The Arab Women Investors Union, under the leadership of Hoda Yassa, alongside Henri D©sir© N'zouzi, an advisor to the Congolese government and general coordinator of the Congolese trade mission, signed a significant Egyptian-Arab-Congolese cooperation protocol. This initiative is focused on enhancing trade and investment collaborations. The signing ceremony took place at the Arab Women Investors Union headquarters and was graced by the presence of Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Mohamed Karim Sherif.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, has prioritized grassroots economic diplomacy, private sector engagement, and Egyptian-African cooperation to foster comprehensive and sustainable development. Assistant Foreign Minister Mohamed Karim Sherif expressed gratitude towards the Congolese delegation and the Arab Women Investors Union for hosting the mission. He emphasized the robust Egyptian-Congolese relations and praised the increased momentum in bilateral cooperation, notably marked by the recent visit of the Congolese president to Egypt.

Sherif highlighted that the newly signed protocol is a pivotal step toward expanding economic collaboration, enhancing Egyptian-Arab-Congolese relationships, and supporting the private sector. Hoda Yassa, the union head, extended her appreciation to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its support of public and economic diplomacy, the private sector, young entrepreneurs, and business leaders, as well as for facilitating the union's hosting of the Congolese trade mission.

Yassa disclosed that during bilateral meetings with union members, 14 trade cooperation agreements were finalized with the backing of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. Additionally, an agreement to establish three new investment factories through Egyptian-Congolese partnerships was reached. She stated that the protocol aims to build economic and commercial cooperation bridges, foster collaboration between the Congolese private sector and its Egyptian and Arab counterparts from member states of the Arab Women Investors Union, as well as with friendly countries, and expand joint investments in both Egypt and Congo.

The protocol signing occurred during the Egyptian-Congolese Trade and Investment Forum, themed "Towards Strategic Partnerships and Promising Investment Opportunities." Organized by the Arab Women Investors Union, the forum marked the conclusion of the Congolese trade mission's field visits to various Egyptian factories in Cairo, Alexandria, and Tenth of Ramadan City, showcasing the quality of Egyptian products.

The forum also included bilateral business meetings aimed at promoting trade exchange, fostering investment partnerships, and opening new export markets for Egyptian products in the Republic of the Congo and other Central African countries.
