Amman: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, alongside Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, emphasized the critical necessity of fulfilling all obligations under the initial phase of US President Donald Trump's Gaza plan. They highlighted the importance of ensuring the continuous delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid into the Gaza Strip to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the statements were made during a meeting on the sidelines of the resumed 165th ordinary session of the Arab League Ministerial Council in Amman and a consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, which was called at the behest of Jordan's foreign minister. Both ministers also voiced their disapproval and condemnation of ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank.
The discussions further touched on the progression of US-Iran negotiations following the signing of a memorandum of understanding. Abdelatty emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the advancements made in these discussions to reduce regional tensions and bolster efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability throughout the region.
