Egypt: EgyptAir announced it will operate new direct flights connecting Cairo and Birmingham, starting October 25, in a move that will strengthen the Egyptian national carrier's presence in the United Kingdom and support air connectivity between the two countries, alongside EgyptAir's extensive international network spanning destinations worldwide.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the announcement follows the signing of an agreement between EgyptAir and Birmingham Airport on the sidelines of the El Alamein International Airshow. The new service will initially operate four flights per week, using EgyptAir's latest Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The new route will provide passengers with a direct, convenient, and fuel-efficient connection between Cairo and Birmingham.

Amr Adawy, Head of the Commercial Sector in EgyptAir, said the launch of the new route represents an important addition to EgyptAir's network in the British market, giving travelers an additional option for flying between the United Kingdom and numerous destinations across Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East.
