Egypt to Join Asian Women’s Forum in Bukhara: Invitation Extended to National Council for Women Chairperson

Cairo: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cairo, Mansurbek Kilichev, announced that an invitation has been extended to Counselor Amal Ammar, the chairperson of the National Council for Women, to participate in the Asian Women's Forum. This event will be held from May 13 to 15 in Bukhara.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the forum will focus on women's empowerment in the region, addressing key areas such as politics, economics, healthcare, education, social protection, climate, environment, and governance. The forum aims to present the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's leadership to international participants.

These reforms include support for women, enhanced social and economic opportunities, improved workplace conditions, entrepreneurship, education, social protection, and achievements in community development and tourism potential. The forum will also highlight the implementation of international frameworks like the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and the sustainable development goals.

The ambassador expressed hope that the forum will foster global and regional cooperation and facilitate an effective exchange of expertise.
