Egypt: Egypt has strongly condemned the violent riots and the attempted sabotage targeting the UAE embassy and the residence of its head of mission in Damascus.

According to State Information Service Egypt, a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates on Sunday, April 5, 2026, emphasized the importance of upholding international law, safeguarding diplomatic missions, and ensuring the protection of embassy premises and personnel, in line with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

The statement reiterated that any attack on diplomatic missions and their premises is a blatant violation of international law. Egypt also expressed full solidarity with the UAE, calling for the necessary measures to be taken to guarantee the safety and security of diplomatic missions, in accordance with international law.
