New Alamein:Egypt is set to host a series of high-level African events from October 2 to 4 in New Alamein. These gatherings will bring together African leaders, ministers, senior officials, private-sector representatives, and financial and investment institutions.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the events will feature the Alamein Africa Forum, the Summit of the Founding States of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), and the 8th African Union Mid-Year Coordination Meeting. These events aim to promote African economic integration and sustainable development, providing a platform for exploring investment opportunities and strengthening partnerships.
The Alamein Africa Forum, initiated by a decision from the African Union Summit in February 2026, is scheduled to occur every two years in New Alamein. Egypt is organizing this forum in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), a significant partner in facilitating trade, investment, and economic integration across the continent.
Alongside the forum, an exhibition will be held to showcase major projects, investment opportunities, productive sectors, and African companies. This will facilitate direct engagement between governments, business communities, investors, and financial institutions.
