Egypt: President El-Sisi Receives Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of State of Qatar

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today welcomed Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to Egypt. The meeting was attended by key figures from both nations including Egypt's Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and several ministers. Representatives from Qatar included the Minister of Finance Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed Al Khulaifi.

According to African Press Organization, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the Spokesman for the Presidency, reported President El-Sisi's warm reception of the Qatari delegation. President El-Sisi conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and expressed his satisfaction with the strengthening of Egypt-Qatar relations. He highlighted the progress made in political, trade, and investment sectors and emphasized Egypt's readiness to facilitate increased Qatari investments.

Sheikh Mohammed relayed the greetings of the Amir of Qatar and expressed appreciation for the bilateral ties. He underscored Qatar's interest in further developing these relations with Egypt. The discussions also covered regional issues, with President El-Sisi stressing the importance of de-escalation to ensure regional stability and security.

The dialogue touched upon ongoing cooperation between Egypt and Qatar to implement an agreement aimed at ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Both sides emphasized the importance of fulfilling commitments under the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump to ensure stability and facilitate reconstruction efforts. They agreed to continue their collaboration to maintain peace and stability in the region.
