Egypt and Qatar Renew Efforts to Resolve Israeli Conflict Under Trump’s Plan

Cairo: Egypt and Qatar have jointly renewed their call for all involved parties to adhere to the commitments outlined in U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end Israel's aggressive actions in Gaza. This appeal was made during a meeting in Egypt between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as reported by the Egyptian presidency.

According to TRTworld.com, both nations emphasized the necessity for all parties to honor their obligations under Trump's plan, aiming to establish stability and expedite early recovery and reconstruction efforts. The discussions also touched on regional developments, with President Sisi highlighting the importance of managing the current escalation due to its potential impact on regional stability and economic activities.

President Sisi reiterated Egypt's commitment to supporting Qatar and all Arab countries, opposing any attempts to compromise their sovereignty and stability. He underscored the progress in bilateral relations and expressed a desire to bolster cooperation in political, trade, and investment areas.

President Sisi further encouraged increased Qatari investment in Egypt and assured Cairo's readiness to facilitate such investments. In response, Prime Minister Al Thani expressed Qatar's eagerness to collaborate with Egypt to enhance bilateral ties and expand cooperation.

Al Thani, who arrived in Egypt from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is expected to co-chair a meeting of the Egyptian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, as noted by the Egyptian foreign ministry.
