Taranto: Head of Egypt's delegation at the Mediterranean Games Sherif el Qamati praised the outstanding performance of Egypt's women's table tennis team on Saturday after they won the gold medal at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Qamati expressed his admiration for the team's accomplishment, highlighting their impressive 3-0 victory over host Italy. He emphasized that the players made Egypt proud with their exceptional performance.
Qamati also noted that Egypt has secured a total of 10 gold medals so far, with expectations of winning more as the competitions continue on Saturday. He highlighted that the Egyptian delegation has achieved remarkable results and is currently in a strong contest for fourth place with France and Spain.
