Cairo:The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, through the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA), has organized a promotional trip for representatives from 14 major Russian companies involved in luxury and MICE tourism. The event took place in Cairo and New Alamein, Alexandria governorate.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the trip was arranged in collaboration with Royal Manta Travel, the exclusive Egyptian representative of GlobalStar, an international travel industry network. This initiative is part of the ministry's strategy to diversify Egypt's tourism offerings and promote them in international markets, emphasizing new and emerging destinations.

ETA CEO Ahmed Youssef stated that the initiative aims to enhance Egypt's tourism competitiveness, diversify demand, and attract high-spending tourists. The authority is intensifying its promotion efforts in the Russian market, which is a significant source of tourism for Egypt, especially given the increasing interest from Russian travelers.

The promotional efforts are focusing on expanding the range of tourism products, including luxury and MICE tourism, and highlighting promising destinations such as New Alamein and the North Coast. Strengthening direct air links between New Alamein and Moscow is providing new opportunities for tour operators to create travel programs that combine multiple Egyptian destinations.

During the promotional trip, participants visited the Giza Pyramids plateau, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and various hotels in New Alamein. They experienced firsthand the tourism attractions, services, and experiences available in these key locations.
