Cairo:The African Mining Regulators Forum was launched in Cairo, attended by Egypt's Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister, Karim Badawi.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Badawi emphasized the importance of creating modern regulatory institutions that can effectively manage geological data and improve the efficiency of mining licensing systems.

The forum, taking place alongside the Egypt Mining Forum 2026, is designed to offer a continental platform for sharing expertise and developing mining legislation and regulatory frameworks. Badawi highlighted that this initiative aims to foster stronger institutional cooperation among African countries and provide a sustainable venue for discussing mining legislation, ultimately contributing to a clearer and more stable investment environment.
