Egypt Economy Shows Resilience Against Shocks: Planning Minister

Cairo: Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom affirmed that the Egyptian economy has demonstrated clear resilience against regional and global geopolitical shocks, noting that performance indicators reflect established stability, with growth reaching 5% in Q3 of the last fiscal year and 5.2% over the first nine months.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this statement came during his meeting with Forbes Global Properties CEO Michael Gilbert and Magnom Properties CEO Maged Marei to discuss expanding Egyptian market investments and the real estate sector's role in advancing Vision 2030 sustainable development goals.

Minister Rostom highlighted that the construction, building, and real estate investment sector has evolved into a primary growth driver, serving as a strategic engine propelling dozens of feeding industries and ranking among top employment generators.

He concluded the meeting by affirming the government's commitment to supporting investment entities and activating the State Ownership Policy Document. This initiative aims to grant the private sector greater space to lead development and improve citizens' living standards.
