Cairo: Egypt on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, strongly condemned Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, terming them as a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the three Arab states and a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability and endangering the safety of their people.
According to State Information Service Egypt, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates voiced full solidarity with the three Arab countries and reaffirmed Egypt's categorical rejection of any attacks that undermine their security, sovereignty, or territorial integrity.
The statement highlighted that Egypt had repeatedly warned of the consequences of renewed military operations and their serious repercussions for the security and safety of neighboring countries, as well as for the freedom of international navigation. It emphasized that the continued current course of escalation would only lead to vicious cycles of confrontation and instability, threatening regional and international security.
Egypt renewed its call for an immediate halt to the military escalation, urging the exercise of the utmost restraint, adherence to the principles of international law, and the rules of good-neighborliness, along with a respect for the sovereignty of states. The statement also called for pursuing dialogue and diplomatic efforts to resolve disputes.
