Cairo:Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty engaged in a phone call with US President's Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos to discuss the strategic relationship between Egypt and the United States, along with regional developments.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the conversation was part of ongoing consultations on regional and international issues of mutual interest between the two nations. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nader Zaki noted that the dialogue focused on the strategic ties between Cairo and Washington, including current regional issues such as the situation in Sudan.
Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's commitment to preserving the unity and sovereignty of states and supporting their legitimate national institutions to protect the resources and interests of the Sudanese people.
