Cairo: Egypt's Nuclear Power Plants Authority hosted a delegation from Trkiye's Nuclear Technical Support Joint Stock Company (NUTED) at the El Dabaa nuclear power plant site on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation and share expertise in the realm of peaceful nuclear energy, as announced by the authority.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Turkish delegation was briefed on the activities of NUTED and Egypt's advancements in the El Dabaa project. This included insights into key construction stages and the current ongoing work. Following the briefing, the delegation toured the site to witness the progress firsthand.

Sherif Helmy, the Chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority, expressed a warm welcome to the visitors, underlining the significance of international collaboration and technical exchanges in advancing nuclear capabilities. The Turkish delegation conveyed their appreciation for the progress of the project and emphasized the necessity of maintaining ongoing communication and sharing expertise.

The authority highlighted that this cooperation is expected to bolster national capacity-building efforts and ensure that the El Dabaa project aligns with international standards.
