Cairo: CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Awad, and CEO of Dubai Chambers Mohamed Ali Rashed Lootah discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation and support partnerships between Egypt and the UAE.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting, attended by Head of the Egyptian Trade Representation Office in the UAE Manal Abdel Tawab, aimed at strengthening economic and investment ties and expanding cooperation between the business communities of both countries.
Awad emphasized the role of Dubai Chambers in linking businesses with global markets and highlighted the potential of activating its Cairo office. This initiative is intended to promote investment opportunities in Egypt among Emirati companies, supporting those interested in expanding into the Egyptian market.
He identified various sectors ripe for new projects and partnerships, including manufacturing, logistics, renewable energy, technology, tourism, real estate development, and supply-chain-related manufacturing and re-export.
Lootah emphasized the need for ongoing coordination between Dubai Chambers and GAFI to promote investment opportunities and foster new Egyptian-Emirati partnerships and joint projects.
