Cairo: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, has expressed the nation’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Rwanda across a range of sectors, seeking to elevate their bilateral relations to new heights. This was conveyed during a phone conversation with Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty stressed the importance of building on the existing fruitful cooperation between the two countries, particularly in economic and trade sectors. Such collaboration, he noted, would serve the interests of both nations and further efforts to achieve development and stability across the African continent.
The discussion between the two ministers also covered recent regional developments and the challenges facing Africa. Abdelatty highlighted the necessity of calming tensions in the Great Lakes region, which he believes is crucial for restoring stability. He reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for initiatives aimed at ensuring security, stability, and accelerated development throughout Africa.
