Egypt Advocates for Global Peace on International Day for Tolerance

Cairo: Egypt's Minister of Parliamentary, Legal and Political Communication Affairs, Mahmoud Fawzi, emphasized the nation's commitment to promoting coexistence and peace across conflict zones on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance. He underscored the importance of achieving a just and comprehensive peace that prioritizes human dignity and life protection.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister released a statement on November 16, 2025, to mark the International Day for Tolerance. Fawzi highlighted the day's significance in rejecting intolerance and hatred while promoting peace as a fundamental vision, value, and way of life among nations.

Fawzi expressed that the International Day for Tolerance serves as a reminder of the noble values and principles of understanding and communication among people globally. The goal is to achieve a just peace that ensures dignified living for all, preserves resources, protects lives and land, and fosters understanding and dialogue among different religions and cultures by finding common ground for coexistence.

He noted the urgent need for tolerance in today's world, where global conflicts have overshadowed it with ambitions, revenge, greed, power struggles, and conspiracies. Fawzi emphasized the necessity for renewed global emphasis and recognition of tolerance.

The minister called for resolving disputes through understanding and dialogue, adopting tolerance as a human value, supporting vulnerable populations worldwide, and advancing a just and comprehensive peace in all conflict areas.
