EFEC: Egypt’s Furniture Exports Up by 11% in 9 Months

Egypt: Egypt's furniture exports have recorded $227 million from January to the end of September 2025, marking an 11% increase compared to the same period last year, said Ihab Drias, Chairman of the Egyptian Furniture Export Council (EFEC), on Saturday, 22/11/2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the increase in exports reflects the strength of the national industry and its competitive capabilities. Ihab Drias highlighted efforts of the council to open new markets and intensify promotional activities to boost export growth.

Drias made the remarks during a meeting held by the EFEC to discuss sector updates and future export expansion plans, in line with the state's strategy to increase non-oil exports and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian industries.

The expansion of Egyptian companies into foreign markets shows the quality of Egyptian products, despite global difficulties related to production costs and supply chains, EFEC Head said.

Top importers of Egyptian-made furniture are Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Libya, the UAE, the US, Greece, Syria, and Algeria, Drias mentioned.
