Comoros President and Japanese Education Minister Visit Grand Egyptian Museum

Cairo: Comoros President Azali Assoumani and Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Toshiko Abe visited the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

According to State Information Service Egypt, President Assoumani expressed his admiration for the Egyptian civilization and the archaeological artifacts displayed in the museum. He highlighted how these artifacts narrate historical stories that enrich humanitarian awareness.

The museum also hosted the Japanese minister, who engaged in discussions with Ahmed Ghoneim, the CEO of GEM, to enhance joint cooperation with Egypt in the fields of culture, education, and archaeology. The discussions focused on exploring future partnerships with various museums, universities, and cultural institutions in Japan to facilitate the exchange of experiences and the development of human capabilities.
