Cairo: Egypt hosted the 29th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Union of Veterans and War Victims under the slogan 'together for peace' over several days. The event witnessed the participation of delegations from 14 Arab countries and a number of military attach©s from friendly and brotherly nations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the event was held under the patronage of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Mageed Saqr. This comes within the framework of the Armed Forces' commitment to organizing major events in Egypt and continuously improving the services provided to veterans, war-injured personnel, and their families in recognition of their sacrifices for their homelands.
The session's activities included numerous meetings showcasing the activities, work, and achievements of member associations and organizations within the union. It also featured discussions on enhancing mechanisms of cooperation and joint efforts to provide continuous support and care to veterans, those injured in combat, and their families.
During the event, Director of the Association of Veterans and War Victims Medhat Abdel Aziz Fawy delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of the event as a reflection of the deep brotherly ties that unite Arab peoples and their shared belief in the noble mission of veterans in defending their countries.
