Chambers of Commerce Launch ‘Ahlan Ramadan’ Initiative with 30,000 Outlets Offering Up to 25% Discounts

Cairo: The Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Alaa Ezz, has announced the successful implementation of the “Ahlan Ramadan” initiative, which has achieved nationwide reach this year. The initiative provides strategic and Ramadan-related commodities at discounts ranging from 15% to 25%, depending on the product type, to help alleviate the financial pressures on Egyptian families.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in a phone interview with Extra News channel, Ezz explained that the initiative is a result of a full partnership between the government and the private sector. The collaboration has enabled the expansion of more than 30,000 outlets and temporary tents across the nation, making it easier for citizens to access goods near their homes.

The initiative spans all governorates, reaching from Marsa Matrouh to Halayeb and Shalateen, and extending to El Arish. It ensures the availability of all essential and strategic commodities required by Egyptian households during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ezz characterized “Ahlan Ramadan” as a successful model of cooperation between state institutions and the private sector, with the involvement of various ministries and concerned bodies. He also acknowledged the efforts of governors in providing suitable sites for outlets, exhibitions, and tents, which facilitate easy access for citizens throughout the country.
