Cabinet Denies Reports of Avian Flu at Egyptian Poultry Farms

Cairo: Egypt's Cabinet Media Centre on Friday denied reports of Bird flu (avian influenza) cases at some Egyptian poultry farms and claims that pushed up chicken prices, saying the information was 'completely unfounded.'

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Cabinet Media Centre assured the public that there have been no confirmed cases of avian flu in the nation's poultry farms. The Centre emphasized that the reports circulating were baseless and clarified that there is no evidence linking these rumors to any actual outbreak.

The denial comes in response to concerns from the public and stakeholders in the poultry industry about potential price hikes due to the alleged flu outbreak. The Cabinet Media Centre's statement aimed to reassure consumers and maintain stability in the poultry market by dismissing the claims and affirming the safety of Egyptian poultry products.
