Cairo: Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy announced that August cash assistance payments under the "Takaful and Karama" social protection program will be disbursed to 4.7 million families starting Saturday, with a total value exceeding EGP 4 billion. Beneficiaries will be able to collect their payments from the early hours of Saturday through all available ATMs operated by banks nationwide. They can also use their cards for electronic payments, government transactions, and purchases.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Ministry of Social Solidarity is monitoring the disbursement process and coordinating with directors of social solidarity directorates nationwide to ensure the smooth and regular distribution of the payments. The ministry provides cash assistance to 4.7 million families among the most vulnerable groups, benefiting approximately 17 million people, with an annual budget of EGP 54 billion.
