Rafah:The 282nd humanitarian aid convoy, known as "Zad Al-Ezza," began entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah terminal on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The convoy is headed towards the Karam Abu Salem crossing to deliver essential supplies as part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to address the humanitarian crisis facing more than two million Palestinians in the region.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the trucks in the convoy are transporting large quantities of food and relief aid. The supplies include food items and baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned foods, medicines, personal care supplies, tents, clothing, and petroleum products.

The convoy's trucks are subject to inspection by occupation authorities before gaining entry into the strip. The crossings connecting to the Gaza Strip were closed by Israeli forces on March 2, 2025, after the conclusion of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The closure followed the failure to reach an agreement to solidify the ceasefire, leading to breaches of the truce with intense airstrikes on March 18, 2025, and the resumption of ground incursions into various areas of the Gaza Strip.
