New York:Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met with Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation. The meeting took place on the sidelines of Madbouly's participation in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, representing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince expressed appreciation for the historic ties between Kuwait and Egypt, as well as for the efforts of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in strengthening these relations. He also commended President Sisi's role in addressing crises in the Arab region.

The Crown Prince emphasized the importance of ongoing consultation and coordination, highlighting numerous bilateral agreements that facilitate cooperation across various sectors. He praised Egypt's development achievements under President Sisi despite regional and international challenges.

Prime Minister Madbouly conveyed President Sisi's greetings to Sheikh Meshal and reiterated the Egyptian president's commitment to advancing relations with Kuwait. He underscored that the security of Kuwait and Gulf Arab states is integral to Egypt's national security and affirmed Egypt's solidarity with Kuwait against any threats.

Madbouly expressed Egypt's interest in increasing bilateral investment and trade, welcoming further Kuwaiti investments. He noted the interest of Egyptian companies in expanding their presence in Kuwait.

The meeting also addressed the situation of the Egyptian community in Kuwait, with Madbouly expressing appreciation for the Kuwaiti government's support and the contributions of Egyptian citizens residing there.
