Cairo: North Sinai Governor Khaled Megawer announced that 18 projects have qualified for the upcoming phase of the fourth edition of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects (NISGP) in the governorate.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the assessment committee has completed its review of projects meeting the required criteria and conducted interviews with their owners to assess the projects and their feasibility and sustainability. The committee selected 18 projects across six categories, with three projects from each category.
The categories include large-scale, medium-sized, and small local projects, particularly those linked to the presidential "Decent Life" initiative, startups, non-profit projects, as well as development projects focusing on women, climate change, and sustainability.
Governor Megawer highlighted the diversity of projects submitted this year, noting that it reflects a growing awareness of the importance of innovation and green solutions. He emphasized that the governorate places great importance on the National Smart Green Projects Initiative by supporting owners of innovative ideas and projects that contribute to sustainable development and the transition to a green economy.
