Cairo: Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi affirmed on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, that the signing of sponsorship contracts for athletes represents an important step toward providing a comprehensive support system for Olympic champions.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister emphasized that the state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, is keen on developing individual sports and strengthening cooperation with the private sector to ensure adequate preparation for athletes.
Sobhi attended the signing ceremony of a sponsorship contract between Aluminum Sulphate company (ASCE) and Rabat Sports Company to support a group of prominent individual sports champions in preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The list of athletes covered by the sponsorship includes Abdul Latif Munea, Mohamed Gaber, Mostafa Hussein, Malak Sami, and Abdel Rahman Younis, all of whom are considered promising talents capable of achieving remarkable results for Egypt in future Olympic games.
Sobhi, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, said: "We are working to provide all the tools for success for Egypt's champions, supporting them with comprehensive technical, physical, and administrative plans to ensure they perform at their best in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics."
