Cairo:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates has shed light on the concept of the "two-state solution" through its ongoing public awareness campaign named "Wa'i - Your Guide to Understanding Data." This initiative, also referred to as the "Your Guide to Understanding Statements" campaign, aims to educate the public about diplomatic terms and concepts.
According to State Information Service Egypt, on the eighth day of the campaign, the two-state solution was defined as a political strategy designed to end occupation and create an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the borders established on June 4, 1967. The proposed plan envisions East Jerusalem (Al Quds city) as the capital of the Palestinian state.
The campaign emphasizes that this solution is intended to uphold the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, according to relevant international legitimacy resolutions. It aims to foster a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs initiated this awareness campaign last week, offering a series of posts that provide simplified explanations of diplomatic jargon. These materials are crafted to be accessible, thereby enhancing public understanding of foreign affairs and Egypt's official positions.
