Tbilisi: Egypt's national karate team secured two bronze medals on the opening day of the 2026 Karate One-Series A tournament, a World Karate Federation's event underway in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi. The medals were snatched by El-Hassan Muhammad in the Male's Kumite +84 kg category and Rahma Ashoush in the Female's Kumite +68 kg category.

According to State Information Service Egypt, President of the Egyptian Karate Federation Mohamed Al-Dahrawi contacted the national team mission to congratulate them and applaud their strong start. Meanwhile, the mission head expressed confidence in securing more medals in the coming days.
