Cairo: The newly elected Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), His Excellency Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, received a phone call from His Excellency Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the call, the Minister congratulated the Secretary-General on his election and wished him success in his new role.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed expressed his deep gratitude to the Arab Republic of Egypt for its support for the Organization. He praised Egypt's active role in joint Islamic action and affirmed his commitment to further strengthening solidarity and cooperation among member states.
