Egypt: Egypt will hold a training session on Sunday, July 5, 2026, as preparations continue for its last-16 clash against Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, team director Ibrahim Hassan said. The session is scheduled for 12:00 local time (16:00 GMT), or 19:00 Cairo time.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt will face Argentina on Tuesday at Atlanta Stadium in the Round of 16. The Pharaohs reached the knockout stage of the World Cup for the first time in their history after defeating Australia 4-2 in a penalty shootout on Friday following a 1-1 draw after extra time at AT and T Stadium in Dallas.
Argentina advanced after beating Cape Verde 3-2 after extra time in Miami on Saturday.
