Rome: Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy congratulated Abdelrahman Tolba, a member of Egypt's national fencing team, for winning bronze at the 2025 FIE Fencing Grand Prix Foil in Italy held from February 7 to 9.According to State Information Service Egypt, Tolba put in a strong performance, defeating the world's No.1 fencer, a double Olympic gold medalist from Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024, with a 15-12 victory. He also secured a win against Italy's national champion.For his part, Sobhy praised Egypt's continued progress in fencing, reaffirming the ministry's commitment to supporting athletes and helping them compete at the highest levels internationally.
