Cairo: Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy chaired an extraordinary virtual meeting of the executive bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs to discuss humanitarian conditions in the region.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by ministers and officials from several Arab countries, along with representatives of the Arab League. The primary focus was to review the latest developments in the Arab region, particularly in Lebanon.

Minister Morsy emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to tackle humanitarian challenges, highlighting the situations in Palestine and Lebanon. She affirmed Egypt’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian endeavors, including aid deliveries to Gaza and a shipment of approximately 1,000 tons of relief supplies sent to Beirut to support displaced individuals.

The minister also urged for enhanced cooperation and support for Arab funding mechanisms to ensure sustained assistance. Participants at the meeting expressed appreciation f
