Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent a cable of greetings to Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics to mark the Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia. Sisi also extended his congratulations to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Lebanon's Independence Day.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Sisi delegated Presidential Secretary Mohamed Atef to visit the Latvian embassy in Cairo to offer official greetings for the occasion. Similarly, Presidential Secretary Abdelaziz el Sherif was sent to the Lebanese embassy in Cairo to convey the President's greetings to the Lebanese government and people.
