New cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at the headquarters of the Police Academy in New Cairo to celebrate the 74th anniversary of Police Day, observed annually on January 25. The event highlights the significant role played by the police force throughout Egypt's history.According to State Information Service Egypt, President Sisi was greeted by Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik upon his arrival at the Academy. This annual commemoration honors the Battle of Ismailia in 1952, during which 50 police officers were martyred and 80 others were wounded.
