Cairo: Chairman of the State Information Service (SIS) Alaa Youssef convened a high-level meeting today with Amr el Leithy, President of the Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, to map out strategic media cooperation aimed at elevating Egypt's international standing and addressing pivotal issues across the Islamic world.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting took place at the SIS headquarters, where Youssef expressed the state agency's commitment to accelerating media cooperation with the OIC in the coming period. He emphasized that expanding these communication networks is vital for amplifying shared cultural values and reaching global media platforms more effectively.

During the meeting, el Leithy congratulated Youssef on assuming his new position, wishing him success in his mission. He stated that Youssef's extensive diplomatic and media expertise represents a powerful addition to Egypt's institutional media framework.

They held detailed discussions on joint initiatives in the media and cultural sectors, ultimately agreeing on a coordinated framework to maximize their combined capabilities. This joint effort will focus on delivering a unified, impactful media message that promotes cross-cultural dialogue and serves the common interests of Islamic nations.
