Freetown: Sierra Leone's Minister of Youth Affairs Ibrahim Sanoh expressed his country's appreciation for Egypt's leading role in supporting youth issues during a meeting with Egypt's Ambassador in Freetown, Rasha Suleiman.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in empowering young people, developing human capacities, and exchanging expertise. Sanoh stated that Sierra Leone attaches great importance to youth empowerment and is eager to benefit from Egypt's experience in training young professionals and developing technical skills.

Sanoh added that his country looks forward to organizing 'train-the-trainer' programs and specialized technical courses in key sectors of interest, particularly agriculture. This sector is a major focus of President Julius Maada Bio's 'Feed Salone' initiative, which aims to boost food security and agricultural productivity.

Ambassador Suleiman reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting Sierra Leone's efforts in youth development, noting that Cairo is ready to organize joint training programs through relevant Egyptian institutions specializing in youth and technical education. She also highlighted the possibility for Sierra Leone to benefit from a wide range of training courses offered by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), affiliated with Egypt's foreign ministry.
