Cairo: Senate Speaker Essam Farid said April 25 will always remain a great day in Egypt's history, embodying pride and dignity, noting that the anniversary of Sinai Liberation represents an enduring national epic reflecting the resilience of the Egyptian people and their determination to reclaim their land and preserve every inch of it. According to State Information Service Egypt, this statement was made during a speech delivered on Sunday during the plenary session marking the 44th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day. 'The brave men of the Egyptian Armed Forces are the nation's shield and sword, a model of dedication and sacrifice. From under the dome of this esteemed chamber, we highly value their sacrifices-past and present-in safeguarding the nation and protecting its capabilities from threats. We also commend their national role, alongside the police, in combating terrorism, particularly in Sinai, as well as the pivotal role of the military institution in supporting comprehensive development and build ing the modern state,' he said.
