Cairo: Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) signed a $7 million contract with Shaoxing BEIQI Textile Co., Ltd to establish a ready-made garment manufacturing facility in West Qantara Industrial Zone.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the project will cover an area of 16,000 square metres. It is expected to produce over 10 million garments annually. Notably, 90 per cent of this production will be aimed at export markets, providing a boost to Egypt's foreign exchange earnings, while the remaining 10 per cent will cater to the domestic market.
