Cairo: The Egyptian National Railways Authority (ERA) announced the implementation of precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safe operation of trains on multiple lines across its network. This decision comes as parts of Egypt are experiencing unstable weather and rainfall, prompting the authority to prioritize passenger safety.According to State Information Service Egypt, the ERA has started monitoring train movements around the clock through its main and subsidiary control centers. This initiative aims to maintain the highest levels of safety and ensure smooth train operations. Emergency teams, along with technical and engineering personnel, have been strategically deployed across the rail network to respond swiftly to any incidents and maintain regular operations despite the challenging weather conditions.In its statement, the ERA expressed apologies to passengers for the limited delays affecting scheduled services, attributing these disruptions to circumstances beyond its control. The auth ority emphasized that passenger safety and security remain its top priority, and operations will continue to be closely monitored until weather conditions improve.
