Rafah: The Rafah land crossing in North Sinai recently received a group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip. Procedures are currently being facilitated to ensure their smooth return at the main terminal on the Egyptian side.
According to State Information Service Egypt, sources at the crossing have confirmed that teams from the Egyptian Red Crescent are actively involved in aiding the returnees. These teams are coordinating with relevant authorities to distribute return kits and provide psychological support, particularly for children.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been actively deployed at the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing to offer various humanitarian services. These services include psychological support for children, family reunification services, winter clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and the distribution of return kits to those heading back to the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities are also making arrangements to receive another group of wounded and sick Palestinians from Gaza. These individuals will be treated in Egyptian hospitals. The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has established a medical point at the Rafah crossing to assess the conditions of incoming patients and ensure their transfer to hospitals via fully equipped ambulances.
