Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree calling for the House of Representatives to open its first session of the third legislative term tomorrow. This decree marks a significant step in the country's legislative process.

According to State Information Service Egypt, President El-Sisi had previously issued Presidential Decree No.16 of 2026, appointing 28 members to the House of Representatives. The list of appointees includes a select group of professionals and experts from different fields. Notably, female representation among the appointees reaches 50%, highlighting a balanced approach to gender representation in the legislative body.
