Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a telephone conversation with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, to inquire about his health following a recent illness. During the call, the President extended his best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Grand Imam expressed his deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to President El-Sisi for the thoughtful gesture and personal concern. He noted that such a noble act reflects the President's high moral character and his profound respect for Egypt's national religious institutions and their leadership.

Furthermore, the Grand Imam praised President El-Sisi's continued support for Al-Azhar's mission and its scholars in promoting the values of moderation and centrism.

He concluded by praying for the protection of Egypt and its leadership, asking God Almighty to grant President El-Sisi success in his efforts for the betterment of the nation. He also expressed his hope that Egypt would continue its historic, pioneering role in safeguarding regional and international security, stability, and peace.
