Cairo:President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected the pavilions of the Egypt mining exhibition on the sidelines of the Egypt Mining Forum.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the President received an explanation from Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi about the exhibits presented by the Egyptian Geological Museum. The exhibits included gold products from the Sukari Gold Mine, detailing the stages of gold production from rock to ingot form.

The Minister also provided insights into quartz and high-silica white sand, used in solar cells, and the process of separating kaolin to produce high-purity sand ore. Additionally, he explained the types of rocks used by ancient Egyptians in paints and iron production.

Egypt holds the world's third-largest phosphate reserves, and the export of phosphate has been prohibited to support the fertilizer industry and promote local industry localization.
